Stories
and Memories

by Kevin Hooper Mandy has been a big part of my life although I personally have never met her. When I first heard about the accident and listened to the voicemail to staff and leaders in the church, it was apparent that we needed to pray hard. The AMEN men's group at Northland began lifting up Mandy each and every week. Through the week we would send emails across the country to friends and family to pray. Over time many people seemed to use me as a focal point for "what's up with Mandy?". Yet I have never met her. In prayer time Mandy would seem to come up from the Holy Spirit to me however. Almost as if the Lord would say: "If you are going to talk to me would you please also mention Mandy each time?". For this reason I consider Mandy not just a "unique friend" but an inspiration. Thoughts of Mandy drive me to prayer. Thoughts of Mandy have increased others' faith. Fervent prayer avails much! When the recent Northland Music CD came out, her name was found in the liner notes. Sometimes when the CD is playing I wonder, "is that Mandy blended in those angelic voices?". Yes it must be. How her song resonates in the lives of those that she will never meet. I count it a privledge, as do scores of others I know, to pray for this young woman as we await the glorious day that He has in store for us when He reveals His purposes and truth. In Jesus name we pray for healing. We love you Mandy, Mom, Dad and Family. Kevin
